I have read a few books in the The Manhattanites series and I found it interesting to read about Lex at a younger age.

In my option there is nothing to tie you as a reader to these characters Over all great potential but not a story I would read more than once. I would have liked more than one scene and not even a full scene at that with Ford and Lex finally getting together. I would have liked to ready how Lex and her friends came to be before we see the scene in her parents apartment then build up with the whole connection between Lex and Ford.

To me it seems like this author is trying to over explain her characters in the beginning give way to little to the actual story that is what you were looking for and then rushes her ending. Then back to the situation and it kind of drags for a couple of chapters before we get to where the body and action of the story is and then it is over way to fast. The beginning of the book seems to jump right into a situation that Lex has to emotionally deal with as soon as that one chapter is done you are taken back in time to when she was still in boarding school and we go through a couple chapters of that. Over all I think this story has a lot of potential it is just lacking a lot.
